How-To: Jennifer Lopez's Rock and Roll Hair

15

There was something different about Jennifer Lopez while promoting Samantha Thavasa's bag collection in Tokyo. Recently, we saw her leaving the salon with multidimensional locks and face-framing layers. And yesterday, the always-stylish Jennifer got all rock-and-roll on us, sporting this shaggy style with a sultry gaze.

Do you like this roughed-up, textured look? Celebrity stylist Ken Paves gave us the how-to on achieving this wow-factor hairdo. Get tips for recreating it at home when you read more.

  • Get undone: "We went for a very fresh and modern, effortless look," said Paves." I gave her more bangs and layers than usual for a glamorous yet, 'undone,' modern shag," he added.
  • She bangs: Paves cut bangs and layers into Jennifer's locks. Next, he applied his own Healthy Hair Volumizing Spray ($24) on her hair while it was still wet. To give a natural finish, he finger-dried the style, which fell right into place.
  • No bangs?: No problem. If you don’t have (or don't want) bangs, Paves says that you can easily fake them. He recommends trying his Clip-In Fringe ($152) for an instantly different look.
