How-To: Rihanna's Fashion Week Makeup
How-To: Rihanna's Fashion Week Makeup
Since so many of you loved Rihanna's look at the latest Chanel fashion show, I have some tips for recreating it at home.
- Face: Rihanna is wearing a medium-coverage foundation, most likely because she needs full coverage when her picture is taken. If you'd like similar coverage, Clinique Stay-True Oil-Free Foundation will do the trick. But if you prefer a little lighter coverage, try a tinted moisturizer such as this one from Laura Mercier. Finish up by dabbing a skin-brightening concealer such as Tarte Rest Assured Brightening Wand under the eyes, around the nose, and at the corners of your mouth.

- Eyes: Start by applying a light-silver shimmery shadow all over the lid, stopping at the crease. To give the eyes a smoky touch, dab a charcoal shade on the outer quarter of the lid, blending outward for a slight cat-eye effect. This Sephora Brand Colorful Pro Eyeshadow Palette has all the colors you'll need. Finish off by lining eyes with a soft black liner such as Benefit BADGal Liner. Draw a slight winged tip that sweeps along the top lash line, then draw a thin line on the inner rims of the eye
- Cheeks: To mimic Rihanna's cheek color, try this NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo. Swirl your brush through both colors and apply just to the apples of the cheeks for a perfect peachy-bronze glow.
- Lips: To top off this look, slick on a light pink lipstick such as MAC lipstick in High Strung.
