How-To: Thandie Newton's Light and Bright Makeup Look
The beautiful Thandie Newton can pretty much pull off any hairstyle or makeup palette. Of course, her glowing smile doesn't hurt, either.
At the annual Serpentine Gallery party in London's Hyde Park, she accentuated her cool-toned dress with a complementary berry-toned lipstick, keeping the eye makeup to a minimum. It's a perfect nonfussy look for warm-weather events. Copy her light and bright style after the jump.
- Eyes: Use a neutral-toned shadow on your lids for a polished finish. Try blending the different shades in Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio in Totally Neutral ($21.50) to match your skin tone. Using a liquid liner, create a heavier, slightly turned up line towards the outer corners of the lashes. This technique gives a slight cat-eye look. Try Almay Intense i-Color Liquid Liner For Eyes in Black Pearl ($7.50).
- Cheeks: Add a pop of color on the cheeks with a multitoned blush, such as Mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Chica. ($7).
- Lips: Complete the look with an application of raspberry-toned lipstick. Try Bare Minerals Lipcolor in Berry Cordial ($15).
