How Do You Feel About Hair Extensions?

Clearly this isn't Sarah Jessica Parker's real hair from the launch of Covet at Macy's. They're extensions. Paris Hilton wears them and so does Nicole Richie. They are the quickest way to create thick, full and healthy hair. So if all of these A-List ladies are wearing them, does it mean that you'll jump on the bandwagon too? How do you feel about extensions?

I love them, i wish i had them because to me, long hair looks so much more gorgeous.

Toixboi: I really tried, tried, tried my hardest not to be offended by your comment. Quite frankly, it takes A LOT to offend me. But, did you REALLY feel it was neccesary to mention "BAP," as in Black American Princess in a comment section with a post about extensions? There is a big, bright, bold photo of Sarah Jessica Parker in a phony pony who is obviously not a B.A.P., by any stretch of the imagination. I'm not trying to get thrown out of here but, if I do then, "oh well"! GTFOHWTBS

I will go with no only because everyone wears them and you don't know who has real hair or not these days. More & more people are not happy with what God gave them or working on what they have. I believe in being the best, real you that you can be.Sorry to sound corny...

I have seen some BEAUTIFUL temporary extensions done on brides and other formal clients. I think throwing in some fake hair every now and then for fun doesn't hurt anyone. NOW if we are talking about crappy extensions you buy at the mall and clip into your hair that's another story. But professional quality fake hair is fun!

They're fine for a temporary look but it can get too much when it comes to maintenance. I've learned the hard way that it's a heck of a lot easier to maintain my own hair than to deal with weave and braids.

I like them only for when im going out at night. Not for when im at the office the next day though. I don't like how it looks in the daylight.

i think it's fine. i agree with poshliving...it's similar to plastic surgery in that it helps a woman achieve a certain look she is aiming for. our society for the most part actually encourages women to "look their best" whatever they perceive that "best" to be

I love them! I would totally get them, esp. b/c my hair grows really slow once it passes a certain point, but the nice ones are really expensive!

Everyone around here gets them. I think there fun, why not change up your look every now and then? I haven't worn them in years but would have them put back in again in a heartbeat..if I weren't a lazy bum. Some women can't grow their hair long and lush no matter what they take or do, it's genetic. So they buy it, as MILLIONS of women buy their breasts, nails, hair color and paint their faces everyday. Who cares, really at the end of the day? If that girl feels hotter than... Great for Her!

I have extensions. Mine are bradided into my natural hair and they look very natural. I always get compliments on my hair and when I tell them I am wearing extensions they get shocked. I love them, but they need to be done professionally and they need to be worn by someone who knows how to maintain them. (Ahem, NOT Britney Spears)

They are great if you have super thin hair like me.I've been wearing them for years. In my hood you have a beauty supply store on every corner so they are not that expensive. If you upkeep them and wear a silky scarf at night they can last longer than 3 months

I wore inexpensive extensions for a short time while my hair was growing out of a short cut. But my hair grows at a reasonable speed and is very thick, so it seemed practical to just wait instead of continuing with extensions. If I had fine, thin, and fragile hair, I'd probably invest in a good custom-blended weave to fill it out.

There okay. It's all about how you get your done. If you get it done right, it looks awesome and natural. If you get it done badly, it looks like a rats nest!
