How Do You Style Your Hair When You're Wearing a Hat?

Hats are a great accessory for hiding your hair when you just don't feel like fussing. I typically throw my hair into a low ponytail or secure it in the back with a loose braid, especially if it's day-old, since it holds better. Some girls wear hats with their hair down just because they think it looks cute, even after they've spent time styling it. I'm curious: When you put on a hat, how do you usually wear your hair?

Well, my hair is naturally wild, crazy and wavy...So on the days I don't straighten it, I normally just push my hair to one side and put some gel in it (so it's not frizzing out everywhere) Or when I straighten it, but don't wash it for a day or two (it's not completely straight anymore and the bottom waves are hot)

I'm not particularly a hat person, so either just how it is (down) if it's a woolly hat, or a pony for summer hats.

Usually all down or in a low pony. On a side note- I'd never wear a cowboy hat!

It depends on the style of hat I'm wearing.

if it is a cowboy hat or something like that I will french braid or wear it straight down. If it is a ball cap, I pull a pony tail through the back on the hat.

I wear hats because I like them, not to hide frizzy hair, so I usually wear it down or sometimes when I wear a baseball cap, I'll do the loop through the back...

I don't really wear hats and only have one I sometimes wear during this time of year to keep sun out of my face. I just wear my hair down and would also wear my hair down if I owned a bowler hat. Unfortunately I do not actually currently own one since I can never find one. I also want a big floppy hat too like the one I saw Vanessa Paradis wearing in some pictures.

When i'm wearing my cap (it's the same style that's in the fourth pic, I think that's Jessica Alba), I put my hair in low pigtails. When i'm wearing my cowboy hat, I like my hair to be loose and wavy. When i'm wearing my J-Lo hat (lol, I call it that, it's one of those wide brimmed floppy hats), my hair needs to be loose, don't care if it's wavy or straight.

It depends on the occasion and the hat, how much hair and face will be showing, are you showing off or covering up? Baseball caps I leave for my hubby, not my style no matter where I'm going.

Definitely up. Sometimes it's a bun or a ponytail and I usually put it through the loop of the baseball cap.

I love hats, but to wear them means I either have to straighten my hair or get it braided. I don't know anyone in town that braids, so I don't get to wear hats as often as I'd like. I'm not too keen on either chemicalling or heating my hair to death, either.
