The problem: Get a chair, because this is going to be shocking: the only time bronzer looks good is when you already have a tan. Sorry, but it's true. Fair gals who swipe on a nut-brown powder or gel hoping to look sun-kissed will most likely end up looking fake and (yikes) dirty. Choose a shade that has shimmer and you're making it worse. So, how do you get a nice warm lift of color without overkill?
The fix: Bronze with a regular powder that's a tone darker than your skin. Apply all over the face and brush down your neck just a touch. And to get your glow, use a pinky-golden blush on the apples of your cheeks. I use this trick on the actresses I work with so that they look slightly flushed, natural, and never "yammy."
