How to Get Jessica Chastain's Wavy Hair

Jessica Chastain's smile wasn't the only thing wowing the crowd at a screening for the film Lawless in New York City last night. The actress's vibrant red hair was styled in lightly tousled, sideswept curls, showing off her natural color and texture beautifully. "It was important for [the waves] to not look over done or too formal," said celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson. "Loose, sexy, touchable waves are very modern and super young."

After prepping her hair with a cuticle-smoother, his brand's Build It Blow Drying Agent ($20), Gibson blow-dried Jessica's hair with a large round brush. He then created a deep side part to open her face, and went to work curling her entire head with a small curling iron. To finish the look, Gibson misted a holding hair spray over Jessica's strands, using his fingers to break up the waves and soften them.
