Whether you have to pack light for a trip, or you're looking for an easy, flattering makeup palette that will take you from day to night, monochromatic is the way to go. And, of course, the big benefit of wearing a one-dominant-color look is that you don't need a lot of products to make it work. To see how to do it, just keep reading.
What you'll need:
- A loose powder eye shadow (in a shade that will look good on the cheeks, lips, and eyes)
- Clear lip balm or gloss
Creating the look:
- "This tip I learned from a customer many years ago," explains Bare Escentual's executive chairman, Leslie Blodgett. "Take a clear lip balm and dip it into any of our eye shadows, and make a lip gloss."
- Blodgett then recommends applying the same shadow on the lids with a small shadow brush, followed by applying the color on the cheeks with a fluffy brush.
- Now add a touch of mascara and liner, and you have yourself a four-product makeup look in minutes.
