How to Make a DIY Hair Mask For Dry Hair

Dry hair is just as annoying and as common as dry skin, and nobody likes a flaky scalp either. So I'm gonna show you a simple, homemade hair mask that will moisturize your hair and your and as an added bonus will leave your hair silky soft. So here's what you're gonna need: a microwave safe bowl, a quarter cup of coconut oil, two tablespoons of extract, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and one cup of lukewarm water. You'll also need a spray bottle. start by microwaving your coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl for 20-30 seconds. You can always reheat if needed. And the good thing about coconut oil is that it helps seal cuticle. It leaves the hair shiny and it is packed with a ton of protein, which is important for healthy hair. Adding the peppermint extract gives a tingling sensation and it smells fresh, which is obviously on the top of the priority list for hair masks. The cooling sensation is actually the key to relieving an itchy scalp. Now the next step is to add the apple cider vinegar to the other two but first we're gonna dilute it because it does have a strong smell. We wanna make sure that it's not gonna smell harsh when we put it on our hair. So just use one tablespoon put it in the bowl, and then dilute it with one cup of water. Apple cider vinegar is really great for the hair because it helps eliminate build-up from other hair products, plus it detangles and it leaves the hair looking shiny. Go ahead and combine the other two ingredients with it and heat it in the microwave for about 20-30 more seconds. That way, when you apply it to your hair, it'll feel warm. Then we're gonna mix it up in the spray bottle. Pour it in like so. Put on the cap and shake. Now before you apply the mask, make sure that you wear a towel to protect your clothes because some of these ingredients ingredients aren't exactly fabric friendly, so cover up. And then using the spray bottle, apply to your hair. I might start at the roots and work your way down to the end and really scrub the scalp so that it gets in there and moisturizes accordingly. Now that you have the mask applied to your hair, wait for 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Cool water will help to lock in moisture. Then after that, you're finished.
