Step 1

Cut up your piece of play money into 10 pieces (I used a realistic-looking bill, but a Monopoly money mani would be really, really cute). Then, use your scissors to cut the top of the piece to fit your cuticle. Apply your base coat, and stick the piece on top. If you want your mani to last, I suggest using nail glue instead of base coat, because I had peeling after a day. Nail glue will actually give you much smoother results.

AmberHoney, you can usually pick up fake money from toy stores for like $2, or sometimes people print vouchers and stuff that look like cash. So it's easy to do it without destroying actual currency.I was at a jewelery store today and they were giving out "three buck note" flyers.I like the idea of using candy wrappers though.

At first I thought this was really tacky, but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. I wouldn't wear it because I know I couldn't pull it off, but it looks cool. And FabMissToya, I'm intrigued by the whole using candy wrappers bit. That sounds fabulous!

Since it's illegal to destroy our national currency, it's not to my liking. On the other hand no one follows the rules anymore, let alone the laws so hey it's great if you got money to burn!

The way it's done up here would not last a Saturday night! Go to your Local nail salon and it will last you 2 weeks some time longer depending on how fast your nails grow

Now this is nothing new to me, I am a 26 year old female from The Bronx, NY (The Hood) and we rock our nails in all kinds of way's. The using the Dollar Bill thing, that's not new we did that 7 years ago that's when it was real popular and you know what else we would use... candy wrappers like Skittles, Reses Peanut Butter Cups, Mr. Good Bar and the list go's on................It's nail art!
