How to Make Winged Eyeliner Easy

Your Winged Eyeliner Problems Are Solved Forever

Even if you have nothing but a nub of pencil and notoriously shaky hands, you can have perfect winged liner in a minute or so. The following trick makes those concerns a thing of the past. And having your eyeliner ending up completely different on each side? Also no longer a problem. To find out what you need to do to get it right every time, just check out the tutorial now.

The big secret is really simple: use transparent tape. Professional house painters use tape to keep their lines crisp, and it's no different when you're painting your lids. Begin by taking two pieces of tape and use them to create a sharp triangle on the outer third of your eyes. Then fill in the shape with your liner (any variety will work) and gently peel both your pieces of tape off at the same time. To ensure your "wings" are identical, just make a mirror version of your original tape shape and use it for your other eye. Afterwards, pencil in the rest of your lash line and admire your handiwork. Good job, makeup MacGyver.

Allie84, I don't, unfortunately, know who Jane Feltes is. But since we clearly share a similar love for makeup tricks, I'll have to look her up. Thanks for introducing me to her!
