Russian model Natalia Vodianova shows us that light Winter makeup can be plain, simple, and beautiful.
Natalia embraced her milky complexion and played up her bright blue eyes at the launch of the Russian Winter Festival last night in London. How did she do it? By adding dew to her skin, flecks of metallic shimmer to her eyes, and matte brick-colored lipstick to her full pout.

- Face: Begin by prepping skin with a face oil to make sure it's well hydrated. Then, take a little bit of tinted moisturizer and liquid luminizer together and smooth it on your face. Blend well. Lastly, take an eye brightening pen and mix that with a little bit of eye cream to the outer corners and underneath your eye area.
- Cheeks: The goal is to create natural-looking, warm skin. Use a little bit of your favorite neutral-colored cream or powder blush, and lightly dust it along your cheekbones. Don't overdo it. As a final touch, swirl your pointer, and middle finger in a creamy face gloss and strike them onto your upper cheekbones steering clear of your eyes (we wouldn't want to have any product get caught in your fine lines).
- Eyes: To get the same soft and warm eye-popping effect as Natalia, try blending a small amount of Scott Barnes Eye Ice in Treasure and Serpentine" on your lids. Use the darker shade in the crease — and remember to blend well. Next, line the inner rim of your lower lashes (and follow it into the V of your eyes) with a brown/copper pencil liner like this one from Maybelline. Finish this look with one coat of brown mascara.
- Lips: Apply a burnished red/burgundy color to the lips such as Nars Lipstick in Virdiana ($23). Blot lips with tissue and leave lips matte. Now you can be outside in the Winter wind without fear of your hair getting caught in your gloss!
