Prickly legs are a thing of the past, especially when you have all the right moves when it comes to shaving. So today I'm gonna show you how to get your closest, smoothest shave ever for sexy, silky legs. Start by prepping your legs by taking a hot bath or a shower. Hot water softens the hair cuticle, giving it less resistance to the blade of your razor, which creates a smoother shave. Try starting this process about five minutes after jumping in. Just like your face, your legs need exfoliating too. It's really important that you exfoliate your legs before you shave because if you do it after, you can really irritate your skin. This gets rid of all the dead, dry skin before you use your razor. Now I like one with glycolic acid because it helps to loosen dead skin but a body wash and a loofah works just as well. And for a homemade version try using half a cup of brown sugar with one tablespoon of olive oil. When it comes to shaving cream, look for products with glycerin in them. Do not be afraid to borrow from the boys. If they can clear a beard easily, your legs will be as Cinch to shave. Glycerine prevents cuts because it allows the razor to glide over the skin. And this one has menthol in it, so you'll be able to feel a nice, cooling sensation. Plus it moisturisers to prevent dry flaky legs. Here is another tip. You are out of shaving cream. Opt for hair conditioner, its moisturising and does not foam not much so you'll be able to easily navigate your way around. Any razor will do, as long as it's sharp. But try to look for razors with more than one blade. Toss the disposable razor after three uses, and if you have a reusable one, change the blade after every six uses. For a really close shave, you have to take your time. Start shaving upwards, against the way the hair grows and then back down. This way you wont miss any stray hairs. If you have sensitive skin, shave in the direction of hair growth three times, to avoid ingrown. Follow this process from the front to the side and then the back of the legs. The dreaded knee, it's the most annoying part so here's what you do. bend your leg on a side of the tub to pull the skin tight and try to keep your balance, please. With your knee bent, shave in downward, vertical strokes to avoid nicks and cuts The key here is short strokes and light pressure. Then shave upward. Lastly, on the top, bottom, and side, shave lightly from left to right. Rinse all of the shaving cream residue off of your legs, pat dry, and then apply your favorite moisturizer. Now don't rub your legs with a towel. If you dry them out and chafe them so just pat lightly. For lotion, I like one with shea butter because they're creamy and they quench dry legs with moisture, and baby lotions are gentle, hydrating, and a little nostalgic as well. and there you have it. Your smoothest, closest shave ever. I hope these shaving tips get you out of your next hairy situation. I'm Kirby and thanks for watching Bella Sugar TV.
