Plum and navy are both huge colors this season, which makes them the perfect combination for holiday make up. We've got makeup artist, Dezeray Sherman here in the studio to show us how to cool and this cool-tone look for you. What you want to do first is, line your lips with a nice plum liner. This is going to provide a really good base. Help the lipstick last longer, as well as give the color a nice bold undertone. So you're just going to lighten the outside of your lips as well as fill them in. After you apply your liner, you're going to go ahead and blend it all in with a lip brush to make sure it's really even and smooth. What we're going to do after that is, go ahead and take a lip color and fill in your lip line. You can either go with a sheer grape, a beautiful fuschia, or anything in the magenta tone. Now that we have that beautiful lip color on, go ahead and take a navy or midnight blue pencil and line your top and bottom lashes. Next we are going to go in with a smudge brush and rub out that blue shadow to give it a nice smokey look. After you get the eyeliner on and you get it smudged nice and smokey around the lash line. Go ahead and take another coordinating color, either Navy or Amethyst, and just barely soften the edges. Navy is a great color to use instead of black to get a nice smokey eye while still keeping it softer and not getting too dramatic go in with the mascara and get those lashes nice and coated. It'll help to give a nice dramatic effect. Next, we're going to go ahead and apply just a little a little bit of color right on the apples of the cheek to give a little bit of definition. And that's how you play with purple for the holiday season. Thanks to Desire for her expert tips, and thanks for watching Bella Sugar TV. When choosing the right purple for you, you might have to play around a little bit. General rule of thumb, shear look best on light skin tones and you can go more bold and vibrant the darker you are.
