How to Wear Red Lipstick During the Summer

If you want to wear red lip color but aren't exactly sure how to do it, we've got the perfect solution. We asked Jillian Dempsey, Avon's global creative color director, for her tips on how we can wear red during warm weathered months. She advises going for a pinky-toned variation of the shade. Think of a poppy or fruit punch hue, like Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in Wink ($6). "It’s bright and vibrant and easy to apply, and you don’t need a liner or anything to go with that," she says. "It’s forgiving. That, paired with a little bit of a shimmery shadow and some mascara, is a really pretty look," she adds. A simple one, too.
