Jennifer Lopez's French Manicure at the Oscars 2012

Jennifer Lopez's chic, maroon-tipped nails were all Oscars beauty watchers could talk about, but although they looked luxe, re-creating them is actually quite wallet friendly. Jennifer's Academy Awards manicurist, Tom Bachik, started by filing her nails into a classic almond shape with a little bit more of a pointed tip than is traditional (think somewhere between your usual oval and Lady Gaga's talons). Bachik then painted on L'Oréal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Because You're Worth It as a base coat, and instead of forming a typical, rounded French tip, he gilded the ends of her nails in a "v" shape using Colour Riche Nail Polish in Haute Couture Red.
