Jessica Simpson's Beauty Show Is a Go

As previously rumored, Jessica Simpson is indeed jumping back into the reality-TV pool. Set to air on VH1 next year, The Price of Beauty will follow Jess as she travels the world to examine beauty standards and treatments. "I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful," Jessica said in a press release. "But I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful."

Before the show was officially confirmed, I came up with five ways it could be great. Come next year, we'll all find out if it will be. Think you'll tune in?

I think this show could do her some good. She talks about women having confidence, which is something she often seems to lack. Maybe this is just what she needs to give herself a boost.She's a good kid who has made some poor choices - I wish her well in this next project. Travelling the world...not such a bad gig. Oh no! Now this woman is going to travel the world and make Americans look like idiots. Jessica cannot represent anyone. All she will do is smile in these peoples faces and then turn to the camera when they're not looking and say something rude and stupid about their culture. How embarrassing already.

"people get desperate and turn to reality TV when their career is in the toilet" So I guess that's why Nick Lachey is still doing it too huh Romes. They both fell hard in their careers and nothing can get that back. And doing reality shows will surely keep them in hole, just where they both belong too. Jessica is so darn fake and this will flop just like alot of the other reality shows. But I say that they all deserve exactly what BAD things they get in the end for doing them.

HAHA wow the crowd is brutal here.. i think its a great idea.. her sister is ashlee not jess so its fine if they have their own opinions.. haha im definitely going to watch! i think jess has never bad mouthed anyone, i dont think shes ever flashed her body for the world to see, i dont think shes ever promoted drug use or anything else publicly so i still think shes a great role model. thumbs up

I knew it wouldn't take long for this to be picked up by someone. Yeah, it is a desperate move. Hahaha - yes and great fodder for The Soup agreed CheapYetChic! Can't wait for that. I would also love if she flipped the script and interviewed her sister on "standards of beauty" given the work she had done...

I actually think this could be a good format for her. And I bet Joel McHale was more excited than anyone to hear about this show-- you know she'll have some Soup-worthy moments!

Please, people get desperate and turn to reality TV when their career is in the toilet. VH1 is crazy to invest money in this show.
