Bieber Breaks Beauty Sales Records Once Again With His Someday Perfume

He shattered sales records with his Nicole by OPI nail polish line, so it's no surprise that Justin Bieber is breaking records for his first prestige fragrance launch, Someday. In fact, Someday has grossed more than $3 million in sales at Macy's in just under three weeks, which is prompting industry experts to call it the most successful celebrity scent launch ever.

"If it sustains this momentum, it will become the number-one-selling fragrance of 2011," Karen Grant of market research firm The NPD Group told WWD. And with a commercial featuring Justin in a gravity-free NASA training jet set to debut on Black Friday, one can only imagine what kinds of sales the fruity gourmand scent will net for the holiday season. I don't care for it, but I'm also twice the age of its target wearer. To me, it smells a lot like Electric Youth. Zappin' it to ya! Seriously, though, I could not wear this scent. It's all hot, moist Jolly Rancher breath. I can't blame famous people for launching fragrances. It's an incredibly lucrative business if you have a hit. And at least Bieber is donating some money to charity from it.

While I'm not a Bieber fan, I love this perfume. It reminds me of when I was younger for some reason. It smelled good on my skin. I really want it!

Okay I went to my local department store and tested this perfume out. Initially it smelled okay, kind of like candy but when my body chemistry started to react the perfume, it smelled pretty rank. Nothing against the Biebs but my body chemistry doesn't do well with fruity/candy/gourmand scents in general.

I simply don't understand so many people buying celebrity stuff. It takes some realy insecure people to HAVE TO have things from Bieber, the "K" sisters, Hilton, etc. I mean, OMG, come on people, they only lend their names to it and make millions for doing one commerical and nothing else. I refuse to buy their stuff.
