Karl Lagerfeld has offered up a peek at his much-anticipated collaboration with Shu Uemura. The 17-piece set will contain a wide variety of products, including four shades of nail polish, the brand's signature cleansing oil, and fabric false eyelashes that are reminiscent of kabuki fans. And adorning the packaging of Shu Uemura's holiday collection is Mon Shu (a play on the French term "mon chou"), a doll-like character with a black bob sketched by Lagerfeld. A miniature version of Mon Shu even hangs off the set's red-embellished eyelash curler.

The products closest to Lagerfeld's heart are the two eye palettes. "I use their eye shadow colors for my sketching," the designer told WWD. "It's better than pastel; nobody has colors like that." The two eye and cheek palettes Lagerfeld has dreamed up for the line have two core colors: a smoky green and a smoky purple. The collection will be released in the States in October and will only be available online until February 2013. But when it comes to Lagerfeld, a little exclusivity is always expected.
