Love It or Hate It: Kate Beckinsale's New Blunt Bangs

In the tradition of many a celebrity, actresses Keira Knightley and Jessica Alba have recently premiered blunt-style bangs. And now, it's Kate Beckinsale who has joined the bang brigade, showing off a modified version of her long hairstyle as an attendee of Calvin Klein's 2009 Fall New York Fashion Week show.

The British beauty is known for her signature, flowing locks, and the addition of bangs really does transform her features, no? Tell me what you're thinking: Is the change fresh and edgy, or do you prefer your Beckinsale bang-free?

For Kate, I'd say I'm not too crazy about them. She's gorgeous, but I agree with the girl above... she looks like Alanis. haha. I however just opted for the blunt-bang look myself, and think I look better with them now, than my usual side-swept style. They gave me the rocker girl look that I was looking for.

why does everybody who's been getting bangs lately just look terrible? I don't know what the deal is with bangs - what face shape is right for it or not, but I do think that bangs need to be thick and practically glued to your forehead, not spaced out or at all puffy. and seriously, if one of the most beautiful women in the world looks bad with them, they're not for everybody...

I love blunt bangs, but I think Kate looks better without them. I believe that they could have been styled better.

Undecided...because the blunt bangs with long hair don't really look bad on her... what looks "off" is the fact that her hair looks like a weave...something really "fake" about it!

They would look better if they were straighter. It looks like she used a round brush on them which is just bad. And 80's.

UNDECIDED. "Hate It" is a bit extreme because she obviously still looks good, I just prefer her without the bangs. This hair style is doing something weird to her face that I cannot put my finger on...
