Kate Middleton's Wedding Hair: How to Get Her Look

Rumor had it that Kate Middleton would wear her hair down and flowy, and that's just what she did. While there were no flowers in her hair as some speculated, she looked simply stunning in soft waves, topped off with a netted veil, and Cartier tiara. It was understated elegance at its finest.
The style came courtesy of stylist James Pryce of the Richard Ward salon. "Catherine’s bridal look is called the 'demi chignon' — an updo style which combines a classic bridal look with a regal, couture finish," the salon revealed in a statement. "The focus of the style was Catherine's unique and individual halo style tiara, set just back from the hairline, which determined the finished look.”
To make the style your own, apply a styling cream, like Aveda's Smooth Infustion Style-Prep Smoother ($24), to damp hair. Blow-dry with a round brush, creating lift at the crown and a soft curl at the ends.
When the hair is dry, form a side part, and then start curling all around the head, using a wide-barrelled curing iron to make corkscrew-style curls. Tip: hold the curling iron parallel to your face and head to do this. Finish off with a smoothing serum to refine, and twist the sides back to bring the hair away from the face.
