Should Stars Talk About Their Plastic Surgery?

In a burst of candor, singer Kelly Rowland is talking openly about her breast augmentation. "I'm really proud of myself that I waited. That's 10 years I waited," she told the BBC. "That's 10 years I was like, 'I hate this top. It does not fit. I hate this top.'"

Recently, Kylie Minogue and Kim Kardashian have admitted that they've tried Botox, but when it comes to actual surgery, relatively few stars open up. Do you like it when they do, or would you prefer they keep that information to themselves?

My only pet peeve is when celebrities do skin care ads for wrinkle creams and what not when they have clearly had botox! If you are promoting a wrinkle reducer admit when you have had botox or fillers. Other then that I don't really care.

I don't particularly care whether or not they disclose it. If we can't tell they've had work then that's cool, good for them, but if we can and they don't admit it they just look dumb anyway. But the honesty is appreciated.As far as boob jobs go though it's a bit of a pink elephant :P

I'd rather they just be honest about it. Nothing annoys me more than a celebrity who has obviously had work done and insists they haven't.

Personally, I'd rather they just tell the truth. No one believes you when you claim your boobs just magically grew overnight or your "face just changed" leaving you with a tiny, straight button nose. I find it kind of insulting. So I guess my policy would be if it's something drastic and something that people ask you about - don't lie. I admire people more when they admit that they didn't like something and changed it vs. trying to pretend they are just naturally perfect.

I can appreciate when people are open about it. I'd rather someone be as honest as they want, rather than lie and act like nothing's different. However, like Anon said, it can seem like advertisement for it. But if the question is asked, I'd rather they be honest than lie.

If the procedure is not obvious to my eyes, I don't really think that they should open up about it. Ignorance is bliss in those cases. If a once beautiful celebrity looks stupid all of a sudden (or the reverse), I may be a little curious about what's going on (but I wouldn't feel entitled to an answer). It's a subjective thing. Celebs need to keep us wondering in order to stay relevant.

I say zip it. Usually all they're doing is serving as advertising for plastic surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if they get paid to discuss it. Besides that it makes her seem like a vapid, insecure person.

I think they should be more open about what they've had done. Then women could realize that no, the vast majority of normal women are not born with button noses and swollen lips. I think that would help women keep their celebrity emulation in perspective.

i think they should be more open to talking about plastic surgery because it may help women understand that celebrities aren't perfect. they have insecurities just like everyone one else, and sometimes go to extremes to change them. although, i advocate loving yourself the way you were born, i think it's important to know that not all celebrities were born gorgeous, some are part plastic.

I honestly don't really care. The only thing that makes me laugh is when celebrities that have clearly had something done deny it. But otherwise, it really doesn't matter to me whether they address the issue or not, as long as they don't look like Joan Rivers and try and pretend they just look that way.
