Kevyn Aucoin! My hero! I have both of his makeup books, and his work truly is inspiring. I'm so sad his life was cut short. Just an amazing makeup artist, and from what I hear, an amazing person!

I cried when he died....he was one of my idols in high school, and I loved that he saw beauty in everyone, no matter what kind of face a person had.

I remember being sad about that, too. I used to work in a bookstore and I'd always flip through his amazing books on my lunch breaks. Bought a few of them too. He was a true genius.

That "Face Forward" book is AMAZING. My boyfriend's SIL has it and I was uber-impressed with what a good job Kevyn did turning current celebs into classic celebs.
