Kim Kardashian's Fragrance Causes a Kerfuffle

That bottle Kim's holding in her hot little hand is causing quite a stink — and it has nothing to do with the actual scent. The NY Post reports that Lighthouse Beauty, the company that makes Kim's perfume, had signed an exclusive distribution deal with Sephora. Now, however, it's planning to sell the fragrance to big stores like Target and Macy's as soon as the contract expires. In response, Sephora is supposedly pulling Kim's fragrance from shelves and canceling her in-store appearances. What do you think of all this rumored hullabaloo?

I think Sephora needs to stop selling nothing but celebrity perfumes and start selling perfumes that you can't find in every freakin department store again!!! Also, I do NOT want to smell like Kim K!!!

All celeb perfumes eventually make their way to the drugstores and Target/Walmart. It's not like it's Guerlain... I wondered why Sephora would even want her perfume. It's a heavy gardenia scent.

what ever happened with the whole copyright lawsuit? her logo is extremely similar to that of a jewelery brand called Korcula. they even sent her a necklace because they thought she would like the double K pendant. looks like they were right! LOL

but the bigger question is: why would anyone want Kim Kardashian's perfume?

They probably see it as a cheapening of the brand (regarding selling the fragrance at Target or Walmart). I don't know why Sephora would get so upset about plans for the fragrance AFTER the contract has expired but perhaps behind the scenes they were attempting to extend the contract. Sephora often pulls brands in order to make room for new brands and releases so this isn't too surprising. Anyone know if this fragrance is a big selling for them?
