Lara Stone's Eye Color Changed For Prada Ad

Don't It Make Lara's Brown Eyes Blue

Model Lara Stone has a gorgeous new fragrance campaign, a new fiancé, and a lot of clout in the industry right now. And in her new ads, she has something else new, too: a different eye color.

Look and you'll see that Lara's big brown eyes are a light greenish blue in the campaign for Prada Infusion D'Iris. No word on what prompted the change, but we suspect it may have been done to have her peepers better complement the color of the packaging. Critics might point to the ad as another example of Photoshop being taken too far, but is this change really any different from a model sporting colored hair? Your thoughts?

I don't think it's a HUGE deal but, I do think people need to show brown eyes a bit more love!

I *had* to comment on this one because I had the exact opposite thing happen to me!I have naturally pale blue/almost grey eyes.I modelled in a magazine campaign for a well known chocolatier, and guess what they did? Turned my blue eyes deep chocolate brown. They didn't tell me that they were going to do that before it went to print, but I didn't care and wasn't offended; it was kind of cool to see how I would look with brown eyes (perfect, vein-less, glossy brown eyes, no less. Thank you photo shop LOL)

I disagree that it's the same as hair color. You can't actually CHANGE your eye color. What's next, lightening a dark-skinned woman because it complements the ad? Psh. Shame on you Vogue.

I own several pairs of non-prescription colored contacts. It's about the same as dying your hair.

I am a brown-eyed girl and I think it's a little sad that brown eyes are not usually seen in Ads.. Brown eyes are chocolatey and beautifuL!

It's no different than changing one's hair color. I think it's bad when skin color is lighten on dark skinned models. Or an already thin model is made even thinner by photoshop.

If it doesn't bother her it doesn't bother me. It's pretty trivial to me.
