To create the dry, ethereal texture, Ted Gibson for Beauty.com first blow-dried the hair with Build It Blowdrying Agent. After spraying it with Beautiful Hold Hairspray, he wrapped sections in a figure-eight shape around aluminum foil. The hair was then set with a flat iron that was pressed onto the foil wraps.
