Would You Ever Use Your Nails to Send a Message?

At her sentencing yesterday afternoon, Lindsay Lohan burst into tears, but her nails were conveying a very different sort of message. On top of an otherwise very cute multipastel mani, she had this rather nasty phrase scrawled, which can't have pleased the judge, bailiff, or any of the other people in court just doing their jobs. Hopefully, the whole thing was just poor thinking and lack of polish remover on Lindsay's part, and not an actual attempt to dis the justice system. Have you ever painted a message on your digits, or would you? And do you think her manicure was intentional, or not?

Her dad, in between signing autographs at a BAR told TMZ that he is going to call Lindsey and make her jealous...the day after her jail sentence... Lets just say I'm slightly more sympathetic now. Why anyone would want his autograph is beyyyyyond me?!

Im pretty sure, with all the crap she been doing, a normal person, like us will be probably in jail LONG AGO and what about her? She been having fun till NOW after years of making the same mistake!

Lindsay is a child, her development has been stunted...she will never change...spoiled, self indulgent, willful ...she just doesn't get that she is responsible for everything bad or good that has happened to her...

I agree with Studio16. I dont think she meant it *for* court, and yeah its complete tack in general. She's too stupid to notice and take it off before her appearance.

She is pathetic, in court she's writing about TMZ?!?! and sending messages via her manicure?!? Come on, shackle her and take her away. She might as well have written out "F you judge" on her little nail because that's pretty much what she's conveying in court with her actions. She doesn't take anything seriously, wellll except for being a fame monger.

This is pretty tacky. I'm a little more conservative about my nails -- I like to stick to one colour of polish -- but some people like designs/sayings and that's awesome. I think that Lindsay made herself look even worse by doing this.

lindsay deserves what she got and it's not an excuse but this judge seems like she's adding an extra bit of bitchyness just cuz she's lindsay lohan so I don't find it that big of a deal. She's not physically, or even verbally, harming the judge so, to me, this is ok.

What an idiot... as if she didn't know it would be all over the internet. If I were Judge Revel, I'd tack on an extra couple days in the clink for that stunt.

How could her lawyer not have noticed that and told her to scratch that off? That Judge obviously couldn't see it, but this is so clearly disrespectful and how could she not have known it would become a huge deal in the media. I'm in Court every day and I can tell you, this is not the kind of behavior that will make you friends. It really baffles me so much that I can't understand the motivation behind it.

The way she did it is a little "15 and angsty" for me...like in middle school when I wouldnt paint my middle fingernail a different color than the rest (red as opposed to black hahaha), and then have so much fun flipping the bird. Part of me likes it and think it's hilarious but definitely not a good idea for court, whether it was intentional or not. I don't think I'd send a message like "f*ck you" anytime soon but I do update my polish with the holiday or what I am feeling I guess.
