Love It or Hate It? Cate Blanchett's Crown of Hair

I am usually a big fan of the beautiful Cate Blanchett; the actress makes great choices when it comes to hair, makeup, and clothes. But I'm not sure what she was thinking at last night's Costume Institute Gala with this teased-up up 'do. What do you think?

it reminds me of what your hair looks like at the end of the day when you wear a headband and make a poof in front and at night you take off your headband. the makeup isn't helping either.

I think, possibly, if she did her makeup differently the hairstyle would look okay. She's got too much going on to pull it off. Also maybe if the dress were more somber and dark it would be an interesting look. She looks dead.

I'm loving Cate's look. Her hair looks fabulous - she definitely pulls the look together well. How perfect is her skin, it looks great. Loving her make up too - very glamorous!

Oh, man. I love her but the combo of the hair and the funny bronze eyes is too weird...she looks like somebody dragged her out of a nap to go on the red carpet.

honestly, i think this is the best she's ever looked. never noticed the bone structure before, she's very pretty. hair, i'm not so sure of, i don't hate it but something isn't "right".

What I don't like are the copper rings around her eyes or her bony shoulders. Can't imagine what she looks like in real life, considering the camera adds pounds!
