Hair accessories can take any plain hairstyle and transform it into something to be desired (like the DIY safety pin barrette inspired by Marc Jacobs), but this earring hairpin by Cornelia Webb takes it to a whole new level. Retailing at $87, this hair clip is definitely for the woman with a little edge — and extra cash to spend. We are all for edgy styles, but when it comes to this earring hairpin, does this unique combo work?

People in India actually have earrings like this but usually gold and its clipped loosely to their hair.

katykat, I agree about the earlobe thing! Sometimes my earrings get caught on my scarf in the winter and that's annoying enough-- I can just imagine this thing turning into a big hassle. And aside from that, I think it's just a little silly looking. I was never into those chains people used to connect their noserings to their earrings (saw that more in the 90s), and this reminds me of that.
