Whoa, Nelly! Remember when Nelly Furtado sported dark hair? Those were the days, because she had some serious color done for tonight's Video Music Awards. Her makeup artists deserves a raise, I think, because her eyes are super-sexy. That shimmery golden shadow and the black eyeliner is H-O-T. As for her hair, it's a bit brassy for my liking, but I can see the look she's going for. You tell me—does it work for you?

Nelly's colourist should have kept her tones on the cool side. The caramel cast does nothing except drab her entire face. She's got the complexion that looks stunning in jewel tones like deep scarlet, royal blue and pure white and black. If she wants blonde, it would have looked better if her base was a medium ash brown, with full foil highlights in a pale beige. This would compliment her skin's blue undertone. The current shade is flat, non-dimensional and dry-looking. It's too close to orange, and her skin seems unnaturally tinted ... not nice. Nelly, please either return to dark brown, or stay within cool hues so you look fresh and ethereal. This taffy mop just isn't right for you.

I put HATE IT, but not that the hair doesnt look good cause it does, just not on her.

I personally dont like it, it makes her look washed out, but there are many different shades of blonde so just because the honey color doesnt suite her that doesnt mean that blonde hair in general wont suit her. My sister has been blond for six years, at first I didnt like becuase she would go to golden or platinum,and it was to harsh for her but now I like her blonde she is chooing shades that are more natural.

Even though women typically LOVE to experiment with their hair (me being one of them), but when it comes down to it, Au Naturel looks best. At least to me.
