Love It or Hate It? Nelly Furtado's Grammys Look

When Nelly Furtado initially traded her dark brown locks for this shade of blonde, I wasn't sure if it worked for her. But I decided that she has such beautiful features it's hard for her to look anything less than stunning. Here, her barely-there makeup makes her look young and clean, a stark contrast to some of the decade-younger pop stars who caked the makeup on for the Grammy awards. What do you think of Nelly's look? Did she play it too safe or just right?

barely there makeup? looks like a thick layer to me. i do think she has a beautiful face, but i hate the blonde hair. she looks sexier as a brunette.

mcollazo is right - what are you on, Sugar??? THIS is the caked-on makeup look that everyone hates - her ears are a different color than her face! She's got about an inch of makeup on. There's NO WAY this woman is 29 - are we sure that's not a little age fudging by her people???? She doesn't look young and clean, she looks old and like someone spray painted her with acrylic!! Are you sharing Amy's Winehouses crack, Sugar??!?!?!?!

I don't get it when you say she doesn't have a lot of makeup on. It looks like if you touched her face you'd need to go wash your hands afterwards. Gross.

I can't handle the hair. It totally washes her out and makes her look like she's all one color, it's horrid! The makeup on its own is great, but I can't get past the hair no matter what she does to her face. Blech.

Some natural brunettes can pull off blonde hair convincingly. Nelly isn't one of them. I've never been a fan of hers, but she was beautiful as a brunette.

I bought a new shirt and I was wonderig what jewerly to wear. NowI kow I can just wear a slinky. thanks for the idea. that and the makeup. I never thoughtof using grey to define my brows.

I don't think she looks young or clean, I think she looks old and dirty. I even tried to cover her hair with my hand (since thats kind of an obvious point, the hair is atrocious and horrifing)...but to no avail. I'm finding it hard to believe you gave her a positive review Bella! :) If she has gained weight, its all on her face. A good face washing will get rid of those pesky pounds. And the monochromatic look doesn't do her any favors whatsoever.
