Love It or Hate It? Reverse French Manicure

I was browsing Retail_Therapy's blog and found this picture of her reverse French manicure. She says she was inspired to try it after seeing it on Lindsay Lohan in the new issue of Elle. "I thought it looks kind of weird," she says; she and I thought we'd ask all of you Bella readers if you agree. What do you think?

I just did this to my nails with black and white, and it doesn't look goth or trashy at all. It looks pretty classy actually, especially with a single gold rhinestone at the top of each crescent. The ones in that picture aren't done very well though.

I actually wear a version of the reverse french manicure, however the difference is instead of the black and white on the nail bed, i use only a black tip on a regular french manicure base. it looks sophisticated and it isn't overwhelming in black, so it looks light still and not so heavy with colors. I have used saphire blue and velvet red as tips too. it looks so nice... try that version.

Definitely not for me! I like the clean look of a french....this does not look clean.

I honestly think it depends on the occasion, color, length and shape of the nails. This particular picture is doing nothing for me but I can imagine it would look nicer with a few tweaks.
