Love It or Hate It? Visible Roots in Vogue

The October issue of Vogue has a story called Status Roots. The article contends that among the well-heeled and fashionable, deliberately visible roots are the new hair trend. (I'm not convinced.) What do you think about it?

I just think it's odd that last month Vogue had like eight bazillion stories dedicated to a return-to-polish/looking-like-you-tried style, and now we're back to effortless style and visible roots.

I think it can look really good, if you go all the way with it. It doesn't have to be a white trash look, depends on who wears it and how, and what clothes they wear and attitude/postiure.

there are some trends that I HAVE to sit back and wonder.... which bitchy queen is sitting in their castle deciding what ridiculous "trend" to make up next to torture the mass public with? Hideous!

it reminds me of sarah jessica parker on satc~ it looked fine on her, but theres such a huge contrast in color on this model :i also the pin straight hair doesnt help!
