Lulu Frost Shows Us How to Mix Punk and Baroque For Spring

Sep 4 2013 - 7:35pm

Lulu Frost [1]'s Spring 2014 collection was all about a punk take on Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, and that colorful visual translated to the hair and makeup, too. Cassandra Garcia for Bobbi Brown [2] took this "neon Baroque" inspiration and created a makeup look focusing on a pop of saturated color on the lips using the Electric Violet Rich Lip Color (launching Spring 2014). She also included a hint of color in the corner of the eyes to complement the pastel colors in the hair, a look created by Johnny Rackleff and Vanessa Alcala of Marie Robinson Salon.

"Adding color to the curled updo adds a element of punk or new glam," Rackleff says. He used different sprays to create the individual looks, which were all chosen based on what color each model was wearing.
