Makeup at LaQuan Smith 2010 Fall New York Fashion Week

A Runway-Inspired Bronzed Glow Is Perfect All Year-Round

It doesn't have to be summertime in order for you to rock a fresh-faced bronzed glow. In fact, the models at up-and-coming designer LaQuan Smith's 2010 Fall Fashion Week presentation sported a beautifully warm palette of flattering bronze tones as they walked the runway earlier this week. "The look for LaQuan Smith's Fall 2010 collection was exciting because it was his debut to the fashion world after such huge buzz for the last few years," said makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff. "We wanted to make it special and LaQuan's concept of water and sand inspired the sun glow-goddess look we created using CoverGirl and CoverGirl Queen Collection," she added. CoverGirl's new Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire was applied to the lids. Next, a glittery touch was added to the outer corners of the eyes with Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Liner (try the Baked shade). A few swipes of CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara provided the finishing touches. To create the radiant skin effect, CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer was used. For the lips, Sheriff mixed together CoverGirl ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Flare with MAC Pro's Gold Pigment, which you can substitute with a gold-toned shimmer powder or shadow.
