I've been using Mally Beauty's Double Duty Perfect Tweezers ($19.50). To be honest, it's partially because, like them, my bathroom is pink. However, only recently did I start actually using the pointy side. The sharp tips grab my freakishly long eyebrow hairs much better than the slanted side.

It is widely believed that slant-tip tweezers are the gold standard for brows. Short hairs that grow in between waxes (or in between.... eyes), are easily grabbed between the two flat blades, but when trying to change the shape of the brows, the pointy tip is better for grabbing the right hair at the root. I first introduced you to presto-chango makeup back in March '07 and now, Mally has just come out with another kind of "magical" makeup called Couture Color Custom Blush ($25). This lightweight, cream blush comes out of the tube a sheer, white shade and transforms into either a deep berry or a medium rosy color as it gets rubbed into your cheeks. Blend gently for a natural glow, or keep blending for a deeper, darker effect.

The blush was inspired by the gorgeous natural flesh of Mally's baby girl. She wanted to make something rich in pigment, yet featherweight in texture, to create the most natural as possible look. I find that the rose shade suits my fair skin the best, but for anyone who is olive or dark skinned, I'd go with berry.

Here's another smart product from Mally Roncal, the makeup artist behind Mally Beauty Products. This Light Wand Eye Brightener ($25) is the perfect tool for awakening tired eyes and diverting attention away from dark circles.

The metal wand is much sturdier than the typical plastic encasings of beauty tools. One end houses a soft and creamy pencil that illuminates a light metallic shade (it's not too silvery, not too gold) in the little "sideways V" on the inner corners of your eyes.

The other side of the wand houses a soft smudging sponge covered in metallic shimmer dust. The powder is packed right into the cap, which makes this a terrific on-the-go product. When it comes to grooming, I think eyebrow maintenance should be one of your top concerns. After all, your eye brows are what shape your face, and how they look can really affect your overall appearance. Remember to opt for a shade that is just slightly darker than your normal eyebrow shade.
