Man Puts Nearly 3,000 Toothpicks in His Beard

A gentleman going by the name of "Beardpick" recently uploaded a video of himself sticking over 2,700 toothpicks in his beard in order to try the toothpick challenge. I did a little looking, and there are also videos up of guys putting toothpicks in their hair. Is this a new thing with men? Because it seems like there's a whole YouTube subgenre of dudes who have a lot of tiny sticks and some very patient friends.
