Finding a great drugstore eye shadow is one of those "score!" moments. Reviewer JaimeLeah526 calls Maybelline Eye Shadow Singles ($3.50) her favorite drugstore shadow. Here's why:

I love the color range and the shimmer is perfect, since I prefer a shimmer to a matte any day. The darker colors are awesome for a smoky eye look and the lighter shades look great all the way around the eye. Nothing else this cheap works this well. I've had no problems with creasing or fading.

Awww thanks Bella. I think everyone should give these shadows a try. They changed their formula pretty recently and they are just amazing now.

I always have a particular shade in mind when I look for shadow, and I always go back to maybelline. I like mac for drama, but not day. There's a time for wine quad that is just the best for green eyes. It's the one I take traveling.

I have that exact eye shadow single, it's called Lux Lilac. I didn't use to like Maybelline eye shadow, the colors were cakey and didn't show on your lids. But they changed their formula and you really can notice a difference. The colors go on smoother and are very vibrant.

I have tried this brand and really like it. I love the color selection and have tried different ones. Always good and stays on well with no creasing. And wonderfully priced!!!

i've seen these at the store but i wonder about the color payoff. for $3.50 though, it won't hurt to try at some point!

I much prefer Revlon too, Pharm_chick if I'm going to do a drugstore shadow, but these Maybelline ones aren't terrible. When I was in college, I was obsessed with this shade they had, White Celadon (a shimmery whitish-celery green color), but then they discontinued it and I was bummed!
