Long-lasting lipstick comes in handy for plenty of situations: date nights, birthdays, weddings, and any other time reapplying is a problem. But which ones really stick around as promised? We tried a bevy of long-wear lip colors to see which ones stood the test of time and found three with staying power that will thrill any lipstick lover.
Every year, Maybelline puts out a calendar for the next year that anticipates the trends they think we'll see over the next 12 months. The newest one is out, photographed by Kenneth Willardt, and from the looks of it 2012 is going to be a very exciting year for makeup and nails. There's everything from election-time star-spangled lips to takeout-inspired nail art. Will you be copying these palettes and ideas next year? Fashion designers Max Azria, Vivienne Tam, and Tracy Reese (hers is pictured) have each designed their own interpretative packaging for the iconic green and pink mascara. You'll only be able to find these made-over mascaras at Target, so be sure to scoop one up when they hit shelves next month. Don't be surprised if you have competition in the aisles; one Great Lash is sold every 1.7 seconds, after all.
