Looks like Megan Fox is losing her well-known Marilyn Monroe tattoo. At a Jaguar event this week, Megan revealed a significantly faded portrait of Marilyn — likely the result of laser tattoo removal. Although more effective than other ink-erasing methods, laser removal isn't without its drawbacks. It's expensive, painful, and only works on people with fair skin like Megan's. Do you think Megan is making a good move, or was Marilyn's face part of her appeal?

I love tattoos and have quite a few myself, but i hated her marilyn tattooo, think she'll look much better without it, it just wasnt a very nice tattoo, and now she can get something better :P lol xxxx

Her body is a work of art. The tatoos are like graffiti on a beautiful statue. The tats have to GO !

The laser treatments hurt quite a bit, definitely more than getting the tattoo, though I think the excited adrenaline involved in the getting helps quell the pain. The thing I didn't expect was the noise. The laser makes a snapping noise when it hits an ink molecule. It reminded me of having a rubber band snapped against my shoulder over and over. I nearly jumped off the table when the nurse started. She laughed and said, "Oh, they didn't tell you it was going to do that?" I wanted to punch her. :)

If she removed them all, I'd think she's a very pretty girl. Tats make people look trashy, I don't care who wears them, they alway gives a tacky, dirty effect.

I love the fact that she is having it removed. She is talented and her tattoos will help type cast her career as the hot rocker chic when she can be so much more!

I've had three laser treatments on a tattoo on the back of my shoulder. I like the piece but my artist didn't do a good job. Even though I couldn't see it all the time I still didn't like it. Three treatments didn't completely zap it but I'm hoping to cover it up anyway. I can see someone like Megan maturing and growing tired of her tattoos, especially in places where she sees them all the time.

This reminds me of when Angelina got her's removed. Isn't Megan Fox younger than 25? I don't think people should get tattoo's that young at all. She has so many and it's not appealing. I don't care how people feel about them or Kat Von D... she's going to be ugly when she's 40. All that ink fades and shifts anyway. Tattoo's can become deformed.

Well, she must have a very high pain tolerance. Ive seen footage of tattoo removal and it often blisters and looks extremely painful. They actually do say its more painful to get them removed than it is to get them done.

I have no problem with people adorning themselves with ink, I have two tattoos myself. But I always thought Megan Fox embodied a weird a disconnect between the image a hollywood actress must portray - of being a classy lady - and this tattoo OF a classy lady. Scarlett Johannsen and Angelina Jolie also have tattoos and also manage to generally give of the classy lady image so I guess Megan Fox hopes to be more like that.

I'm all for tattoos (i have several myself) and Marilyn, but that portrait was just really terrible. Good for Miss Fox (or Mrs. Green?) for getting it removed!

Littlebehr, did it work, or do you still have a little scarring? A friend of mine had a tattoo removed and said it was the most painful thing she'd experienced. (Well, this was before she had a child, so...)
