This Men's Scent Is Winning on Women, Too

Fragrance-wise, there's nothing I love quite as much as a scent that works equally well on men and women. There's something about a well-done unisex scent — maybe it's the collision of soft and strong? — that somehow feels effortlessly sexy. New York boutique Odin has just launched a trio of eau de toilettes ($110 each) that hits the sweet spot of boy-meets-girl fragrance. Although Odin is a men's store, trust me, these scents are gorgeous on women, too.

Nomad (01), Owari (02), and Century (03) are each well-designed scents; it's clear that they were formulated with a bit of a perfectionist bent, which is good news for us. Owari, in particular, nails citrus in a fresh, not Pledge-y way, but my favorite is Nomad. It begins with a bright burst of juniper — think of a well-made gin and tonic, and you're on your way. It opens up into a spicy blend of black pepper and heliotrope before drying down to a gentle cedar-sandalwood-musk blend. Overall, it's a beautiful, creamy and warm scent that begs to be worn underneath a cashmere sweater. It's definitely worth tracking it down if you know a man who wants to smell amazing, or if you wouldn't mind smelling amazing yourself.
