The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Katy Perry

With this sleek blunt hairstyle, Katy Perry declared to Teen Vogue that she "feels like Cleopatra" tonight. Is it me, or do you also see somewhat of a futuristic Betty Rubble in the mix, especially with the royal blue dress, metallic accents, and black locks?

This look, which is a lot bolder and richer than her opaque pink style from this year's Grammys, relies on some shimmery gold shadow in the inner v's, along with a bronze-toned shade on the contour to create a smoky look. Is this a yabba dabba doo — or a don't?

I love the green shadow, but what exactly is going on with those brows??? They scare me. Also, I think a slightly lighter hair color would look much better.

I think Katy Perry thinks she's always at some sort of costume party...but this looks more mr. roboto than costume...not on par with THE MET quite...or at all
