It's OK to Be a Little Messy, According to Michael Kors

The phrase "model off duty" gets thrown around often to describe laid-back style — but the beauty look at Michael Kors's Fall 2014 runway show was so much so that we might rename it "post-Vinyasa." That's not to say the models didn't look gorgeous. Textured hair was pulled back into loose updos with pieces falling out and moving as the girls strutted the catwalk.

As for makeup, Dick Page used Michael Kors Bronze Powder in Flush, Beam, and Glow ($50) to give models a sheer glow. Eyes were lined with a soft brown pencil, and a cream shadow was smudged in the crease. Lips were stained with a deep berry by applying and then blotting off Michael Kors Lip Lacquer in Dame ($24).

Nails were done by Jin Soon Choi in Intrigue, a gray hue from Kors’s summer collection. “I took my own painted finger and matched it with every image on the board to make sure it worked,” said Choi.

It was natural, effortless, and totally DIY-able with some dry shampoo and a colored lip balm after your Saturday morning workout.
