Prediction: You'll See the Monique Lhuillier Look at the Oscars

Monique Lhuillier stayed true to her glamorous, feminine roots at her Fall 2014 show. We wouldn't be surprised to see a look similar to this at next month's Oscars, as the overall beauty theme was inspired by red carpet glamour and the well-groomed girl. Hair was done in a soft updo that was a hybrid of a chignon and a French twist. Lead hairstylist Bob Recine for Moroccanoil was influenced by the collection, which nodded toward architectural shapes. He created the twists by making two ponytails behind the head and rolling them upward, tucking in the ends, but letting loose strands fall.

"Even though we're technically in Fall, Monique Lhuillier is always about the red carpet," Val Garland, lead makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics, said. "So this girl looks like she's fresh from the spa." Garland focused mainly on bronzed, finished skin, using cream formulas to create a dewy look. She melted MAC Pro Sculpting Creme into the cheekbones and along the temples before layering on MAC Cremeblend Blush ($21) in Posey and Ladyblush with a large, fluffy blush. Curled lashes, a touch of liner, and a nude lip completed the look.

Nails were also feminine and flirty. Lead nail artist Julie Kandalec started with the brand's Ridge Fill Base Coat ($9) before layering on Muchi, Muchi ($9) and finishing with a glossy top coat. And Garland's nickname for the entire look? "Posh toddie." We'll take it!
