Naeem Khan Brings Burlesque Beauty to the Masses

For those who still love the moody lips and metallic of Fall, Naeem Khan is giving you just what you crave. With a collection inspired by burlesque and early cabaret, lead makeup artist James Boehmer for Nars Cosmetics created a moody lip and a gilded eye. "We wanted it to be more red than oxblood," he explained. So he chose between three different lipsticks — Marlene Audacious, Jeanne Audacious, and Bette Audacious — all available for Fall 2014. Eyes were done with the gold lamé side of the Nars Kauai Duo Eye Shadow ($35).

Lead hairstylist Sally Hershberger played off of this '20s aesthetic with a rope-like bun. "We wanted it to be elegant while still being strong," she said. She used her Sally Hershberger Supreme Lift Root Spray ($13) for hold before sweeping the hair into a low ponytail. From there, she divided the ponytail into sections, twisting it around itself and around the bun. For extra shine and hold, Hershberger used a brush to paint on gel around the part.

Nails were supershiny and metallic. Lead nail artist Julie Kandalec for Essie painted on Good as Gold ($9) before applying Shifting Power ($9). The metallic manicure pulled this entire look together, giving us our go-to glam look for Fall.
