"We wanted a really high-shine, strong look because it's a trip to Mars, so it's a little bit sci-fi," explained lead hairstylist James Pecis. One of the looks was a futuristic version of the ponytail. First, hair was parted from temples to the nape to create a mohawk section or pompadour section. After slicking back the sides, a ponytail was fastened over the middle portion. Pecis used Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray on dry hair to get maximum hold that would be easy to erase between models' shows.
