The Natural: I Go Off the Product Grid

I recently posted a story about an old family conditioner recipe made of whole milk and ferns, and reading the comments made me curious about old-fashioned product recipes made from natural, edible ingredients. So for the next month, I'm going off the product grid. (The rest of Team Bella will report on modern-day beauty goods in the meantime.) I'll be using only beauty formulas that were around when your great-great-grandparents were and, of those, only recipes that are edible and cheaply, readily available. The only exceptions? Antiperspirant (for the sake of those around me) and the nail polish I was already wearing before I started my little experiment. Oh, and I'm not wearing makeup. You could even use some sugar and olive oil or water in a paste to be a scrub for face and body - if you use olive oil, it will leave behind a moisturizing film. You could mix your aragon oil instead too!

After your facial scrub, may i seuggest you use plain yogurt to dissolve the dead skin cells left over after scrubbing? I have been doing this for a couple of months now and my skin just glows. :)

I love stuff like this, it's inexpensive and goes a long way,some of the products I have tried, but some I haven't. Baking soda is also good for brushhing teeth, hope to see more of the natural way to go, it's really better for you and the enviroment, good job, keep up the good work.

Bragg apple cider vinegar is also a great facial toner. I have been using it day and night for a month now and my skin has never looked better!

Best of Luck, Bella! I hope it turns out well, there's nothing more satisfying than discovering a homemade remedy/substitute for beauty products. Keep us informed! Since you're not wearing makeup, maybe you could try staining your lips with cherries or strawberries to add a hint of color.
