Naturally Light-Haired Celebrities Who Dye Their Hair Dark

Trend Alert: Light Roots

We're used to seeing dark roots on all the chemically assisted blondes in Hollywood, but lately things are going the other way — women with naturally light hair are going dark and showing off their much lighter roots as their hair grows out. Kristen Stewart, Lindsay Lohan, and Agyness Deyn are all sporting the look. It's an interesting reversal that's sure to garner mixed reactions. What do you think? Do you like it when naturally light-haired people go dark, and are visible roots cool?

Really? You think this is a trend? Why? Just because these are people you think would keep up with their color or dye their hair back to its natural color while it grows out? They're just lazy. You're really reaching here.

I'm with amandachalynn... I don't like any roots. But I understand why Kristen has them, she's growing out black dye. Black dye is really hard to remove, so just growing it out is often the best option.

i like all the rest can't really see the light roots on agyness, but light roots are BAD. they are in no shape or form natural, so they just look wonky, like grey or something. there are times they are necessary, but you'd think they'd do some lightening techniques for some diffused lighter bits on the ends to blend. oh well!

Hardly a trend just because LL and KStew are doing it. Where are Agyness's dark roots in that pic? Hair looks pretty well colored from this angle.

I don't like any roots. If you're going to color your hair you need to keep on top of it. That's why I stopped being blonde a couple years ago.

I don't see them on Agyness either, but Lindsay's are brutal... redheads just can't pull off hair that dark! There was a girl in my high school who was naturally ginger and dyed her hair black, once every month or so she'd get this glowing orange halo around her scalp, it looked ridiculous.

I must be blind because I can't see any roots on Agyness. Lindsay looks like she's going bald with the red roots. I do hope she goes back to the red, though

My Grandma, who was a natural blond, told me that she used to dye her hair dark and when it grew out it looked like a skunk. That's all I can think about when I see these ladies, a skunk.
