New Orleans Museum of Art Hosts Perfume History Exhibition
New Orleans Celebrates the Art of Fragrance
by POPSUGAR Beauty 0
Fragrance is art — just ask the Big Easy. From June 30 until Oct. 24, the New Orleans Museum of Art will host Scents and Sensibility, an exhibition about the history of perfume.
The show is all about the history of perfume, so it showcases bottles, atomizers, unguent jars, and other beautiful ways people have stored scent. Pieces date all the way back to 1100 BCE, and original packaging of Chanel No. 5 and Miss Dior make appearances, too. It's the sort of show history buffs and beauty junkies will both enjoy, and certainly a treat if you've always appreciated the beauty of fragrance.
