Reverse lip liners are a great makeup secret. Artists have known about this little trick for years, since very light lip liners help prevent your lipstick from running or bleeding outside of your lip line without adding extra color. For that reason, this cool tool is especially applicable to this season's hot red lips trend. So far, I've come across two different products on the market. Here they are.
Cargo The Reverse Lip Liner is a neutral lip pencil that acts as insurance for your lipstick or lip gloss. It adds a little bit of definition to your lips and will help make your color stand out. You can also get creative and use this as an inner eyeliner. Buy it here for $14.

DuWop Reverse Lip Liner is a clear, matte lip pencil. This chunkier stick helps to fill in fine lines around your mouth area, since it's super moisturizing and smooth. It acts as a blockade to help fence in lip color. Buy it here for $19.

Very nice. I hate when lipstick bleeds/runs out of the lip line. Thanks, Fab.
1Hmmmmm sounds like a great idea!! I hate the darker lip liner/gangsta look. LOL
2ooo invisible liners...Ive heard of these before and always wanted to try one even though I dont wear lipliner
3so I never wear lip liner because I've seen the only lip lliner left look on too many people. Will this not show if the lipstick has rubbed off? I don't reapply throughout the day.
4I was nervous about using a lipliner as I can remember the horror look of dark liner and light lipstick.
Having recently got the glossy lips bug, I found that my lipgloss or lipsticks just simply didn't last. I purchased a neutral colour lipliner and simply use it to outline and cover my lips. Makes glossies stay much much longer.
I'm just wondering though, would you still apply these reverse lip liners as you would any other? I can see what the buzz is about them I'm afraid.
5Daffodil- you would apply it just like any other liner. I think all women should use either these types of liners or a color that matches their natural lip color instead of getting a liner for every single lipstick they own
